IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We are happy to announce that STRAINS was selected for a new funding under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programme!
The next call for applications (for the student intake 2027-2029) will open in autumn 2026. Exact dates are still to be determined and will be shared in due time.
The website is slowly being updated with the new project's information (including new courses and mobility tracks) and should be finalised in the coming months.
PARTICIPATION COSTS
The annual STRAINS participation costs for non-scholarship holders amounts to:
€ 6 000 / year for Partner Country students
€ 4 000 / year for Programme Country student
Participation costs include
- Registration of the student in all of the universities attended during the programme
- Language and culture courses at each HEI (Higher Education Institutes) integrated in the STRAINS curriculum
- Access to library and laboratories
- Student management, services and activities
- Support in some administrative procedures
- Health, liability, accident and assistance insurance
- Participation to programme events (integration week, annual joint schools, graduation event)
- Other academic and administrative fees (e.g. degree issuing from the universities attended, access fee, recognition fees, etc)
Participation costs do NOT include
- Visa costs
- Travel costs
- Some individual module‐related costs (e.g. certain books and materials, etc.)
- Living expenses
PARTIAL WAIVER OF PARTICIPATION FEES
Self-funding STRAINS students from partner countries who cannot afford the participation fees can apply for a partial participation fee waiver.
If such a waiver is granted by the consortium, the participation fees are reduced by 33%.
The number of participation fee waivers per cohort is limited.
